ANSWERS:
A.
- My impression of this book is very good, when I read it, I had to laugh a lot, because it?s just too funny. Sometimes, the diary style was strange to cope with, but that was the only negative thing about this book.
- I read this book out in one time, I didn?t stop reading at all. I had a lot of pleasure, reading this book.
- Adrian is a 13? year old boy, of whom the parents are divorced and haven?t enough money, he?s trying to become a writer, thinks he?s the best at everything, but has no good marks at school. This is not my situation at all, the only thing I can recognise in my own life is that he also looks to the girls.
- This novel is meant for 14-15 year old boys and girls, who like laughing a lot.
B.
- One of the problems that Adrian Mole had to cope with was that no publisher accepted his poems. And I think this is also a problem of our society, not only for poems, but also for young musicians. Unknown people who love to make music, cannot find any label to produce their music, because that?s to expensive and nobody would buy his CDs. For writers it?s the same, when somebody writes a book, he can?t find a publisher very easy. Especially at the period where there are not a lot of readers, today?s people prefer to watch a movie rather than read a book.
- I did some research about the author.
Most writers I?ve ever did some research about were teachers, or had studied a lot. So the thing I found strange was that Sue Townsend quitted school at the age of 15. And before her success with Adrian Mole, for two decades, she worked in a factory, and was a shop assistant and garage attendant. At the age of 35 she won the Thames TV playwrights' award, launching her writing career.
